Mission Statement

Purpose Statement

"South Loop Community Church exists to be used of God in helping people become fully functioning followers of Christ."

Four characteristics of fully functioning followers of Christ:

  • Saved and identified with Jesus Christ--a new position
    (Acts 2:41,47; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 2:19,20)
  • Love God and neighbor with all the heart--a new passion
    (Matthew 22:37-40; John 4:23,24; Acts 2:42,44-47)
  • Committed to growth in relationship to Christ--a new pattern
    (Acts 2:42; Romans 12:1-11; Colossians 2:6,7)
  • Commissioned to serve Christ and his church--a new priority
    (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:44-46; Ephesians 4:11-16)
