South Loop Community Church (SLCC) is an elder-led ministry.
Jalon Chan - jchan@southloopcc.org (Chairman of Elders)
Jalon Chan was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, but moved to the city in 2002 during his studies at the Moody Bible Institute. He is dedicated to discipleship through shepherding and preaching, and longs to see churches multiplied in the urban context. Having lived in and around the South Loop, Jalon desires to engage the community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Jalon is married to his best friend, Jenny, and have two boys, Jaxon and Jadon. They reside in the Bronzeville neighborhood where much time is spent laughing, singing, eating, hosting friends and new acquaintances, and cheering on Chicago sports teams.

Pastor Mark lives and longs for the manifestation of the glorious presence of the Son of God,
revealing His power and purpose through His chosen people. He believes in the power of urgent
and sincere prayer. He anticipates the day that the Church finds true unity across racial, ethnic
and class diversity.
Mark and his beautiful wife, Leah currently live in the Bridgeport neighborhood (Southwest of Downtown Chicago) with their one year old son, Eliam.
He is a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute and has much love for all Chicago sports teams (including the White Sox).
He presently serves as preaching elder.
"I (Christ) am the Vine. You (Church) are the branches. He that abides in Me, and I in Him,
the same shall bring forth much fruit. But without Me, you can do nothing" - John 15:5
