South Loop Community Church (SLCC) is a non-denominational ministry that began public services in October of 2000. It is a Bible-believing, integrated (multi-ethnic, multi-economic) church that leases space at 1347 S State Street, Chicago, IL, 60605.
SLCC seeks to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, via word and deed, incarnationally and missionally. Some biblical principles of positively impacting the neighborhood through Christian community development are: Relocation, Reconciliation, Redistribution, Leadership Development, Listening to the Community, Church-Based, Wholistic Discipleship, and Empowerment.
The style of SLCC's worship service is progressive, incorporating primarily contemporary Christian and gospel music as well as the New Living Translation (NLT) of the Holy Bible. Services are casual and inviting ... seeking to engage everyone into the praise, worship, and teaching experience. Yet, with style SLCC offers substance-- that is, the timeless and relevant truth of the Scriptures.
